ROLE PURPOSE

The Financial Planning & Analysis Officer is responsible for financial analysis and cost management to support the bank's operational and strategic goals. This includes overseeing budgeting processes, managing operational costs, delivering high-quality financial reports, and identifying opportunities for cost optimization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Manage the daily budgetary approval process for divisions.
• Support Year-End Budgeting by coordinating with key stakeholders and ensuring timely submission.

Cost Control and Management:

• Monitor and enforce daily cost control measures, ensuring alignment with approved budgets.
• Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities to optimize operational efficiency.
• Evaluate and address variances in expense trends to maintain financial discipline.

 Reporting:

Prepare and submit the following reports monthly:

• Expenses Reports.
• Specific Expenses Dashboards
• Budget vs. Actual Expense Reports.

Operational and Ad Hoc Support:

• Respond to ad hoc financial requests, ensuring prompt and accurate delivery of analysis.
• Oversee Budget Approvals and Transfers, ensuring smooth operational flow.

Collaboration and Strategic Support:

• Partner with business units to align financial plans with operational objectives.
• Act as a financial advisor to operational teams, providing insights for decision-making and cost control.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent financial management practices across the bank.

Compliance and Governance:

• Ensure financial activities comply with internal policies and external regulations.
• Maintain accurate records to support audits and regulatory reviews.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED 

Knowledge & Skills                  

• knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
• Ability to prepare accurate financial reports and analyze variances.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting software.
• Knowledge of cost optimization practices in banking operations.

Education & Special Training   

• Bachelor’s degree in finance & accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• ERP systems or financial planning tools.

Experience

• At least 3–5 years of experience in finance, budgeting, or cost control.
• Experience in the banking or financial services sector.
• Exposure to cross-functional collaboration and project-based financial support.

Languages

• Proficient in English and Myanmar (spoken and written)
• Business writing proficiency in both languages
