Duties and Responsibilities of Application Development Unit Manager

• Ensure that applications meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues.
• Plan, execute, design, develop, install and manage the integration of new applications into existing systems and software throughout the enterprise enhancements and upgrades.
• Review and analyze existing applications effectiveness and efficiency, and then develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems using various programming languages, tools and techniques. 
• Collaborate with analysts, architects, and system owners in the testing of new software programs and provide direction for the application team in support of business operations
• Ensure that any new system integration into business systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications.
• Work diligently to enhance or improve business processes via integration or, as necessary, minimize the impact of integration on those processes.
• Design, develop and test applications for iOS or Android
• Provides leadership in planning and joins the IT development project implementation and training sessions for IT support,
• Manage contracts with the relevant vendors to ensure prompt deliveries of service application.
• Provides consulting/training/education services such as Document management and staff training/orientation for standard systems, IT Policies, procedure, Guideline etc.

• Degree in computer systems design or computer science, and/or equivalent work experience.
• Over 5 years direct experience managing applications and/or systems management.
• Strong knowledge of system and data quality assurance best practices and understanding various popular development methodologies.
• Experience with the core banking software and related software are preferred (Flexcube)
• Experience with Oracle PL/SQL database or any database server (MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL) and Hands-on experience with database standards and end user applications
• Experience in API layer like security, custom analytics, throttling, caching, logging, monetization, request and response modifications etc. using Apigee 
• Professional certifications such as CAPM, PRINCE2 or PMP are preferred.
• Good in English and Myanmar Language Skills (reading, writing, understanding)
