The FTTH Network Rollout Engineer is responsible for overseeing the construction, quality control, and regulatory compliance of Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) network projects. This includes reviewing network designs, validating vendor-submitted diagrams, conducting field surveys, and coordinating with local authorities to secure necessary permits.

Network Design & Planning

• Design FTTH network plans (OSP/ISP) to ensure compliance with technical standards
• Validate vendor-submitted network diagrams (fiber routes, splice plans, node locations) for accuracy and feasibility
• Ensure the network designs align with scalability, redundancy, and cost-efficiency requirements

Project Supervision & Quality Control

• Monitor civil works, fiber cabling, splicing, and termination to ensure adherence to specifications
• Conduct on-site inspections and OTDR/testing validation (e.g., insertion loss, reflectance)
• Verify as-built documentation against initial designs and rectify discrepancies

Survey & Reporting

• Review field survey reports (e.g., pole/trench routes, underground ducts) for accuracy
• Ensure Geographic data is updated in network automation systems

Regulatory & Permitting Coordination

• Prepare necessary documentation and report to relevant authorities to secure the permits

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

Evaluate vendor performance (KPIs: timeline, quality, safety)

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Experience:

• 3+ years in FTTH/ISP network deployment or fiber optic project management.
• Proficiency with Google Earth, OTDR, and optical testing equipment.
• Working knowledge of IP planning and knowledge of project management methodologies

Skills

• Reporting: Weekly/Monthly progress reports (construction updates, QA test results)
• Proactive: Permit acquisition tracker and risk mitigation plans
• Process Execution: Final network handover documentation (test logs, compliance certificates)
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and reporting abilities, good in Microsoft skills (Excel, word, Power point) and google earth
