The Business Development Manager supports the Business Development function in driving regional expansion, product portfolio growth, and commercial planning. This role plays a critical part in executing business strategies, conducting market and data analysis, coordinating with internal teams, and managing operational aspects of pricing, and demand planning. The position is ideal for a high-potential professional who can translate strategy into execution and grow into a future leadership role as the company expands regionally.

Regional Expansion & New Product Development 

  • Support regional expansion initiatives by conducting market research, competitor analysis, and opportunity assessment
  • Assist in identifying new markets, channels, and customer segments
  • Prepare feasibility studies and business cases for new regions and new products
  • Create new product artwork and co-operate with Trade & Regulatory team for timely launch
  • Coordinate launch plans for new regions/ new products in collaboration with sales and operations teams

Pricing, Trade Promotion & Commercial Support

  • Support pricing strategy development based on cost structure, market positioning, and competitor analysis
  • Assist in designing and evaluating trade promotion schemes and incentive programs
  • Track promotion effectiveness and provide improvement recommendations

Sales Data Analysis & Demand Planning

  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and performance indicators
  • Support demand forecasting and supply planning in coordination with sales and importation teams
  • Prepare regular BD performance reports and dashboards for management review

Marketing

  • Design and execute marketing activities across various channels (digital, print, social media, etc.).
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing activities, adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Provide marketing materials and support for sales pitches and presentations.
  • Manage the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources for maximum impact.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Act as a bridge between business development, sales, finance, regulatory, importation, and sales administration teams
  • Ensure smooth execution of BD initiatives and timely communication across departments

  • Bachelor’s degree in medical related field
  • Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) is an advantage but not mandatory
  • 3–6 years of relevant experience in product management, marketing, or sales operations, preferably in the medical products or healthcare industry
  • Exposure to regional markets and distributor management is an advantage
  • Experience executing marketing activities (digital, print, events, sales materials)
  • Ability to develop marketing content, product artwork, and sales support tools
  • High-potential mindset with aspiration to grow into a future leadership role
  • Strong commercial acumen and business judgment
  • Willingness to travel regionally as required
  • Ability to work cross-culturally and with diverse stakeholder groups
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and execution-focused
  • Able to translate strategy into practical action plans
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and evolving priorities
