The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the company’s daily operational, commercial, sales, and administrative functions. The role ensures operational excellence, drives business growth, maintains product and service quality (including automotive quality control), and leads cross-functional teams toward the company’s strategic objectives. The COO plays a key role in developing business strategies, improving internal processes, and ensuring high customer satisfaction and sustainable profitability.
A. Organizational Leadership & Strategy
- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company’s long-term goals.
- Lead and supervise cross-departmental managers (Commercial, Sales, Operations).
- Establish performance goals, KPIs, and reporting frameworks for all departments.
- Provide strategic insights to the CEO and Board of Directors.
- Lead organizational change, digital transformation, and process improvement initiatives.
B. Commercial Department Responsibilities
1. Quality Control
- Oversee all automotive-related quality control processes.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO, OEM, regulatory requirements).
- Implement quality assurance programs and continuous improvement plans (Kaizen, Lean).
- Monitor product inspection, testing, and defect management cycles.
- Approve quality audits and ensure corrective actions are executed.
- Maintain relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, and automotive partners for quality alignment.
2. Business Development
- Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships.
- Lead the development of new revenue streams and diversification.
- Analyze market trends, customer demands, and competitive positioning.
- Strengthen relationships with key clients, suppliers, and market stakeholders.
- Support the creation of commercial proposals, contracts, and strategic partnerships.
3. Marketing
- Oversee the development of marketing strategies and brand positioning.
- Approve annual marketing plans, campaigns, promotions, and digital strategy.
- Monitor market research, customer insights, and competitor intelligence.
- Ensure consistent brand communication and public relations activities.
- Evaluate ROI of marketing initiatives and optimize budget allocation.
C. Sales Department Responsibilities
- Lead national and regional sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Direct sales planning, forecasting, pipeline management, and territory optimization.
- Ensure development of sales tactics, pricing models, and customer acquisition strategies.
- Establish customer service standards and ensure high client satisfaction.
- Mentor, train, and motivate sales teams for enhanced performance.
- Monitor key account management and negotiation of large contracts.
- Review sales analytics and dashboard performance, adjusting strategy as needed.
D. Operations Department Responsibilities
1. Warehouse Operations
- Oversee end-to-end warehouse operations including receiving, storage, distribution, and dispatch.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through robust stock control and audit systems.
- Implement safety, loss prevention, and warehouse optimization (lean operations).
- Improve delivery efficiency, workforce productivity, and supply chain coordination.
- Enhance warehouse layout, workflow planning, and capacity utilization.
- Manage vendor logistics, inbound/outbound schedules, and delivery SLAs.
2. Administration Management
- Ensure smooth daily administrative operations across all branches and offices.
- Supervise administration, facilities management, and general services.
- Ensure proper documentation, reporting, compliance, and internal controls.
- Oversee cost optimization, resource planning, and administrative budgeting.
- Implement company policies, and operational protocols.
E. Performance Management & Optimization
- Monitor departmental OKRs and take corrective action when performance falls below expectations.
- Implement lean operational practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or service delivery.
F. Process Improvement & Digitalization
- Introduce and manage ERP systems, automation tools, and workflow digitalization.
- Streamline processes for efficiency improvement across all departments.
- Lead continuous improvement programs and operational excellence initiatives.
G. Team Leadership & Talent Development
- Provide mentorship and leadership to all department heads.
- Recruit, train, and retain high-performing employees.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and innovation.
- Lead, mentor, and develop department heads to achieve high performance.
- Establish talent development programs and succession planning
H. Risk Management & Compliance
- Identify operational risks and implement mitigation plans.
