• Develop and update the Computer Science curriculum units to align with the School’s Understanding by Design curriculum framework (training provided).
• Develop course syllabi and lesson plans that facilitate the acquisition of students’ computer skills, knowledge, and habits.
• Ensures student conduct in all classes conforms to the rules and best practices of the school.
• Maintain the classroom system for accurate record-keeping, grading, and reporting.
• Participate in school professional development, faculty meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other duties assigned by the section principal.
• Shares with colleagues the latest IT-Teaching research for best instructional practices.
• Be knowledgeable in the following topics in computer science instruction:

• -Google Classroom and Suites

  -Online Instruction and Assessment

  -Augmented Reality

  -Podcasting

  -Coding

  -Website Design

  -Responsible and Ethical Social Media Behavior

  -Media Literacy and Technology

  -Social Media and Internet Safety

The Teacher will adhere to the established school curriculum, employ appropriate instructional strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of students, and administer varied forms of assessment. The teaching candidate must be fluent in written and spoken English.
