The Head of Taxation is responsible for leading the Group’s overall tax strategy, compliance, planning, and risk management across all subsidiaries and jurisdictions. This role ensures full compliance with local and international tax regulations while optimizing the Group’s effective tax structure and supporting business expansion, restructuring, and financial efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
1. Tax Strategy & Planning
Develop and implement the Group’s overall tax strategy aligned with business objectives
Optimize tax structure across subsidiaries to ensure efficiency and compliance
Provide strategic tax advice for investments, expansions, mergers, and restructuring
Identify tax-saving opportunities within legal and regulatory frameworks
2. Tax Compliance & Reporting
Ensure timely and accurate filing of all corporate tax, VAT, withholding tax, and other statutory taxes
Oversee tax compliance for all group entities across different regions
Review tax returns, schedules, and supporting documentation before submission
Maintain compliance with local tax authorities and international tax regulations
3. Tax Risk Management & Governance
Identify, assess, and mitigate tax risks across the Group
Establish strong tax governance policies and internal controls
Manage tax audits, disputes, and investigations with tax authorities
Ensure proper documentation and audit trail for all tax-related transactions
4. Transfer Pricing & Cross-Border Taxation
Develop and manage transfer pricing policies for intercompany transactions
Ensure compliance with OECD guidelines and local transfer pricing regulations
Coordinate cross-border tax planning for international operations
Support structuring of intercompany agreements and pricing models
5. Advisory & Business Support
Provide tax advisory support to CFO, Finance Director, and business units
Evaluate tax implications of business decisions, contracts, and investments
Support due diligence processes for mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures
Work closely with legal and finance teams on structuring deals
6. Audit & Regulatory Liaison
Manage relationships with tax authorities and external tax consultants
Lead responses to tax audits and assessments
Coordinate with external auditors on tax-related matters
Ensure resolution of tax disputes in a timely and compliant manner
7. Leadership & Team Development
Lead and develop the Group Tax team across subsidiaries
Standardize tax processes, policies, and reporting across the Group
Build technical capability within the tax function
Promote compliance culture across all business units
