Job Description Role Description:
The Procurement and Planning Manager is responsible for two main activities of supply chain planning and managing procurement process of KFC Myanmar. It would include demand forecasting, supply and inventory planning, developing and executing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts while optimizing efficiency and minimizing waste. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure supply continuity, product availability, and alignment with business goals, promotions, and new product launches.
Key Responsibilities
• Supply Chain Planning:
o Develop accurate demand forecasts for all KFC Myanmar products, incorporating factors such as historical sales data, seasonality, marketing campaigns, menu changes, and new store openings.
o Collaborate closely with Marketing, Operations, and Finance teams to align forecasts with sales targets, promotional calendars, and business plans.
o Maintain and update forecasting models and systems to improve accuracy and responsiveness to changing market conditions. o Work with cross-functional teams and suppliers for new products or new projects launching
• Procurement Process
o Developing procurement processes to achieve cost efficiency and operational effectiveness.
o Identify various saving opportunities by sourcing suppliers, network optimization, tendering and negotiations for the best prices and terms.
o Maintaining good relationships with suppliers while continually scouting for additional vendors for better prices or services
o Developing risk management procedures to mitigate losses in the event of supply shortages
o Supervising a purchasing team and delegating tasks across departments when necessary
o Working closely with the company legal department to make sure contracts terms are favorable and necessary Purchase Contracts are in place
o Manage to ensure consistent delivery of goods while identifying possible obstacles that may affect supply efficiency
o Maintain monthly reporting dashboards to track procurement KPI’s and provide updates to leadership team
o Communicating with management regularly regarding the efficient flow of goods and services and alert if there is any risk of supply shortage
