Background

 

The Yangon American International School is the first international school of London-listed Myanmar Strategic Holdings (MSH). Position

 

The school is seeking an outstanding and dynamic Admissions Superviosr who will work closely with the Director of Admissions and Admissions Team in creating an outstanding experience for parents and students from the initial inquiry stage through to the child’s first day at school.

 

Responsibilities

 

Internal Relation

  • Facilitate the application and assessment process and collaborate with the class teachers when required.
  • Facilitate the communication between the school finance team and families to ensure that payments are organised smoothly.
  • Support the school in identifying opportunities for improvements and risks to alleviate.
  • Share and help monitor best practices in admissions across the admissions team

Customer Support

  • Schedule and conduct individual and group tours of the campus.
  • Manage re-enrolment for returning families and ensure their return is as smooth as possible.
  • Support families in purchasing uniforms and Liaise closely with teachers and staff to ensure smooth inductions of new families and starters.

Sale Management

  • Follow up with leads that have become unresponsive to rekindle their interest.
  • Follow up with the inquiries and visits through emails and phone calls in a timely manner. 
  • Record all inquiries and their contact details into a designated system, closing out unresponsive inquiries in a timely fashion.
  • Get to know families and ask great questions to find out their deep-seated needs in choosing a new school for their child.
  • Ensure timely and high-quality communication, responding to admissions inquiries assigned ASAP.
  • Be highly proactive and responsive to all school admissions inquiries.

Events Planning

  • Help organize student recruitment/marketing events and attend those events.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in admissions at K-12 international schools, or an equivalent sales-oriented position
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Familiarity with operations of an international school and educational standards is a plus
  • High energy level and sense of urgency, including some events/school tours/communications after hours if/as required
  • Positive outlook, along with excellent communication skills
  • Strong verbal and written English and Myanmar
  • MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
