Tax Compliance & Filing:

• Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (e.g., Commercial Tax, Personal Income Tax, Withholding Tax) accurately and on time to the Internal Revenue Department (IRD).

• Manage tax compliance tailored to the garment industry, specifically handling CMP (Cut-Make-Pack) or FOB manufacturing business models.

Tax Incentives & Exemptions:

• Apply for and maintain MIC (Myanmar Investment Commission) tax exemptions and incentives applicable to the manufacturing plant.

• Audit and verify documentation for tax and customs duty exemptions related to imported raw materials and exported finished goods.

Tax Audits & IRD Liaison:

• Prepare necessary financial documents, vouchers, and ledger reconciliations for official tax audits conducted by the IRD.

• Build and maintain professional working relationships with tax authorities.

Reconciliation & Financial Reporting:

• Review Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), payroll, and general operational expenses to ensure compliance with local tax laws.

• Prepare monthly tax status and exposure reports for executive management.

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com), Economics (B.A. Econ), or Accounting.

• CPA (Certified Public Accountant), ACCA Part-Qualified, or Diploma in Accounting (DA) is highly preferred.

Work Experience:

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience as a Senior Tax Accountant, preferably within the Garment, Apparel, or General Manufacturing sector.

• Strong working knowledge of CMP tax procedures and MIC tax incentive regulations.

Skills & Competencies:

• In-depth understanding of Myanmar tax laws (Commercial Tax, Income Tax, Customs Regulations).

• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Advanced Microsoft Excel.

• Strong problem-solving skills and experience liaising directly with tax officials.

• Good command of English; basic to intermediate Chinese language skills are a plus (if working with foreign plant management).
