Job Summary : The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving the growth of GEP Myanmar identifying new business opportunities. This role includes strategic planning, market analysis, and coordination with internal/External teams/individuals to successfully execute power/energy projects as well as ad hoc business activities as needed or instructive by management. Develop and implement strategies to expand GEP’s presence in the market and strengthen its position within the renewable energy industry in Myanmar. Maintain an in-depth understanding of market trends, regulatory developments, and competitor activities in the energy sector. Support the Employer in the implementation, planning, and construction phases of both existing and new projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Evaluate the financial viability of potential deals, projects, and investments. Analyze revenue streams, cost structures, and profitability of business units or new ventures. Identify cost-saving opportunities and revenue enhancement strategies. Collaborate with finance teams to prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance reports. Support financial planning efforts related to business development activities. To assist with project implementation from its planning stage, execution stage etc. Collaborate with internal engineering, operations, and project management teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of energy projects. Monitoring project progress and providing operational support during project implementation and liaising with all parties involved, to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget. Build and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government entities, private companies, banks, financial institutions as well as and partners in the energy industry. Develop proposals, negotiate contracts, and secure new business projects in collaboration with internal teams. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends and growth areas. Provide insights into market opportunities and help shape the strategic direction of GEP’s business development efforts. Stay informed about regulatory changes and policies affecting the energy sector in Myanmar. Prepare regular reports on business development activities and market performance for senior management. Provide feedback and recommendations based on market insights to support strategic decision-making. Assist in administrative tasks as requested by the Management.
