What we do

KBZMS General Insurance Co., Ltd was established as Myanmar's first officially licensed insurance company under the name of IKBZ in September 2012, with license number 001.

After forming a joint venture with the Japanese insurance company Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group (MSIG) in November 2019, IKBZ continued to operate under the new name KBZMS.

KBZMS operates out of 23 branch offices in 21 cities: Yangon, Mandalay, Naypyitaw, Taunggyi, Pyay, Pathein, Sittwe, Magway, Meiktila, Pakkoku, Monwya, Kalay, Myitkyinar, Lashio, Bago, Mawlamyine, Myeik, Myingyan, Tachileik, Hinthada & Taungoo.

In October 1st, 2020, KBZMS expanded its Commercial Lines product portfolio to provide coverage in industrial-related risks, construction, and electrical hazards.

Our products cover the full range of individuals' and organizations' general insurance needs including fire insurance, motor insurance, marine cargo insurance, personal accident insurance, health insurance, and as well as Commercial Lines, covering Industrial All Risk, Construction All Risk/Erection All Risk and Bailee’s Liability Insurance products.

Customer Support & Issue Resolution:   Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues efficiently on first contact (First Call Resolution).  Provide accurate information on products and services.  Follow company guidelines for handling complaints, issues, and escalation procedures.  Service Level Adherence:   Answer calls within the service level goal (within 10 seconds).  Ensure minimal call abandonment and handle calls in an efficient manner. Focus on non-branch-based GI sales to the customers of our bank partners, primarily SMEs initially from leads from the bank branches. The role will have different responsibilities and levels of seniority based on the overall BIS channel sales structure. BIS can move to Senior BIS, BSM, and RSM based on experience and the size of the channel in each partner – to cover all segments of the Bank customer base Will cover several branches of the bank partner (between 5 and 8 depending on geographic location). Will be part of a sales team and report to a Business Sales Manager (BSM). The role is different to a normal bank relationship role, in that it will be expected that it includes expanding reach beyond the bank – leading to a more prominent hunter role than a traditional branch farmer and support role.
