Roles / Job Purpose:

1. Quality control, data entry data cleaning
2. Make minor alterations to existing DB for optimizing performance of DB
3. Provide database reports (query’s) based upon request of DB or DMS Team Leader and/or ESD management
4. Meeting and reporting

Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Quality Control, Data Entry, and Data Cleaning

• Check accuracy of incoming data from the field
• Where needed data cleaning
• Enter data into the databases in a controlled and error-free manner
• Identify and report missing or in accurate data provided by the Detailed Measurement Survey Team to DMS Team Leader
• Compare data collection and data output on data consistency and possible errors of data entry or data collection and report to the DMS Team Leader and the DB/GIS Team Leader
• Support the data collection and dissemination if requested by the DMS Team Leader, not interfering with any other tasks assigned by DB/GIS Team Leader

2. Build capacity and make minor alterations to the main DB where needed

• Support the translation of Myanmar names into English and vice versa
• Support with daily maintenance tasks of all ESD databases including backup
• Develop progressively own data management skills
• Perform minor adjustments to the main DB to optimize performance or to respond to request from the DMS Team Leader or the DB/GIS Team Leader
• Build capacity of the data entry staff where and when possible

3. Provide database reports (query’s) based upon request of DB or DMS Team Leader and/or ESD management

• Print database reports with parameters as requested
• Ensure that the formatting and layout of these reports follows the standards as set out by the DB/GIS Team Leader
• Ensure that these reports are up to date, consistent, accurate and complete
• Support the ESD teams with short-term demands as far as possible, not interfering with the immediate database tasks

4. Meetings & Reporting

• Provide weekly or as needed oral reports on the DB activities.
• Attends regular team meetings.

• University degree
• Minimum 5 years work experience, preferably for construction projects including hydropower projects
• Experience in operating and creating DB systems,
• Good working level of English
• Organized and systematic approach
• Detail oriented
• Self Motivated
• Database software such as Access and Excel
• MS Office package
