Job Description

The desired civil design skills include: excavation support design, ground improvement design, instrumentation design and interpretation, technical specification development, and geotechnical drilling management. Other responsibilities include performing or preparing:
• Geotechnical field investigations.
• Geotechnical in-situ testing.
• Coordination of lab tests.
• Environmental site characterizations.
• Technical memos and reports.
• Field program management e.g. drilling.

Job Requirements

• BS in Civil Engineering, or similar, is required
• MS in Geotechnical or Structural Engineering is preferred
• 10+ years of experience is preferred
• Experience with geotechnical engineering design –specifically, an excellent formation in soil mechanics, geotechnical engineering, and structural engineering concepts
• Experience in excavation support design and earth retaining systems
• Excellent writing and general communication skills
• CAD skills and drawing ability; GIS and modeling experience is a plus
• Ability to travel for meetings and short-term field assignments
• High proficiency in both written & spoken English
