Position Summary:

The Sales & Reservations Consultant will look after the full cycle of securing business for the Sanctuary Ananda - from generating interest with the local clients, and dealing with questions and inquiries, to administering the bookings. The service throughout should be consistently exceptional, friendly and professional, with a focus on maximizing revenue.

Internal Relationships:
• Director of Sales Sanctuary Retreats Australia, New Zealand & Asia.
• Reservations Consultant Sanctuary Ananda in London.
• Sanctuary Retreats Myanmar financial and operational team.
• Sanctuary Retreats sales, revenue management and marketing team.
• A&K Myanmar DMC management team, tour consultants and reservations team.

External Relationships:
• Tour operators and DMCs based in Myanmar.
• Tour operators, travel agents and other trade clients in the rest of Asia and in Australia and New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities

• Help the Director of Sales responsible for Myanmar and the Director Sanctuary Retreats Myanmar to maintain and develop relationships with existing clients in person, and via telephone calls and emails, to increase business, and to identify and secure new clients.
• Listen to and understand client requirements, feed them back to the Director of Sales and the Director Sanctuary Retreats, and help ensure that clients are satisfied.
• Effectively manage enquires for Sanctuary Ananda via telephone and email which include but are not limited to availability, costs, product and destination queries.
• Respond in full to all enquiries as soon as possible and within the working day if received before 3pm. If there is any delay, keep the client informed.
• Manage booking statuses on Sanctuary Ananda’s reservation system eRes. Ensure the system is always up to date.
• Work closely with the Reservations Consultant Sanctuary Ananda in London, who is responsible for bookings from Europe and the Americas, to manage the overall availability and revenue.
• Create invoices for confirmed bookings and monitor the payment to ensure the money is received on a timely basis.
• Help create pre-departure documentation for Sanctuary Ananda sailings and all other pre-cruise communications and distribute as necessary.
• Ensure excellent knowledge of Sanctuary Ananda’s on board offerings, cabin options, cuisine, special offers, itinerary options and destination experiences.
• Ensure high accuracy of all information and all procedures.
• Take responsibility for any post-travel problem-solving in a professional, expedient and diplomatic manner, always looking to exceed expectations and deliver client satisfaction.
• Maintain an efficient, professional and friendly relationship with clients and keep them informed of all relevant information, specific to their bookings or generally.
• Assist the Director of Sales and the Director Sanctuary Retreats Myanmar in maintaining good customer relations with the Myanmar based trade clients, including visits to the clients’ offices and attending client events.
