Job Description

An Exciting Opportunity for ...

-Fire safety officer responsible for ensuring and maintaining fire safety of MDC and related premises with a solid knowledge of fire safety codes and regulations, they implement preventative measures, maintain buildings safety standards, create and implement fire safety statement or policy and train in appropriate fire safety procedures.
-Assist HSE Manager in implementation of Safety Management System
Participate in HSE team and ERT as fire safety branch leader.
-Makes initial recommendation for fire safety program plant wide.
-Lead the Team in order to achieve and maintain the KPI target.
-Functions as Commander or Division leader to make assignments of personnel and resource arrangements.
-Determines ownership and/or responsible parties for fire area.
-Effectively communicates via person to person, radio, telephone and in writing.
-Makes recommendations to supervisors for off district assignments of personnel and equipment.
-Sets control objectives, determines strategy and tactics, directs actions of resources, directs location and provides for safety of: equipment, crews, overhead and other resources.
-Determines location and configuration of hose lays. Locates and oversees the use of pumps, fold-a-tanks, and other water sources. Delivers fire line briefing for incoming resources.

Job Requirements

-Understand local Fire Service Code of practice.
-Effectively communicates via person to person, radio, email, telephone and in writing.
-Thorough knowledge of management, supervisory, and training techniques and principles.
-Thorough knowledge of labor relations and fair employment practices.
-Extensive knowledge of the specific departmental inspector activity.
-Ability to interpret and apply laws, rules, and regulations relative to the work.
-Ability to prepare reports.
-Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
-Five (5) years of fire suppression and ERP planning.
-Bachelor's degree in relevant (or) other mandatory certification.
-Experience in Myanmar Fire Brigade. (Preferable).
-Experience or knowledge in characteristic of chemical fire and prevention (Preferable).
