Job Description

A Big Opportunity for ...

• Conducting end-to-end qualitative research projects: from translating the client’s business objectives into research objectives, to the presentation of the research results and providing consultancy on marketing strategy and product development.
• Taking an active role in attracting new clients and developing the relationship with existing ones
• Preparing the research proposals based on the client’s brief: translate the business objectives into research objectives and develop the research methodology & design in order to address the client’s business objectives.
• Project management – handle and manage projects i.e. briefing fieldwork, managing fieldwork and quality control, managing internal logistics
• Developing the discussion guides and other research-related materials for the qualitative projects (eg. Lifestyle journals, pre-tasks for respondents etc.).
• Conducting fieldwork: moderation of the FGDs/ IDIs/ ethnographic interviews etc.
• Analysis & reporting: analysis of the qualitative information and writing the report containing actionable recommendations for the clients’ business strategy.
• Client interactions and presentations of the research findings
• Coaching and development the junior staff of the qualitative team.

Job Requirements

• Previous experience in qualitative research (preferably in a market research agency):
o 2-4 years for Senior Research Executive
o 5+ years of Research Manager
• Good moderation skills – the priority for many experiences across categories (FMCG, education, health etc.) and target audience (young-old, male-female, working-housewives, professionals, specialist etc.)
• Good analytical and reporting skills: able to analyze the qualitative data and writing of insightful reports containing actionable recommendations for client’s business strategy.
• Previous experience with different types of qualitative research studies: Concept testing and development, usage and attitudes, advertising pre-testing, brand diagnostic and assessment, customer satisfaction, ethnographic and lifestyle studies, innovation research etc.
• Good English skills – esp. fluent speaking and writing
• Good command of MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Able to work under pressure – multitasking, good time management
• Like travelling – regular business travelling esp. between Yangon and Mandalay, willing to learn about lifestyles, languages in different locations in Myanmar
• Team-work spirit
• Helpful, good predisposition, responsive
