Job Purpose

The Account Analyst will be stationed under Corporate Account & Finance department, supporting financial reporting, cost control, and operational accounting for manufacturing activities including one of the key business units named UAPPT - United Agricultural Products Processing & Trading Co., Ltd. This role plays a key part in strengthening financial visibility, inventory accuracy, and cost efficiency while ensuring compliance with corporate policies and accounting standards.

 

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with corporate standards

  • Analyze profitability, liquidity, and operational efficiency ratios

  • Perform variance analysis between budget, forecast, and actual results

Cost & Inventory Management

  • Track and reconcile raw materials, WIP, and finished goods inventory

  • Monitor COGS, direct labor, and overhead cost allocations

  • Support standard costing and production variance reporting

Corporate & Operational Accounting

  • Record journal entries for intercompany transactions, loans, and CAPEX

  • Support group consolidation and audit requirements

  • Record and reconcile GRN, production conversion, utilities, and overhead costs

  • Capitalize and depreciate machinery and equipment in fixed asset register

Policy, Compliance & Business Support

  • Support implementation of accounting policies and internal controls

  • Maintain audit trails for procurement, sales, and financing activities

  • Provide cost insights, margin analysis, and financial modeling to management

 

Job Overview

  • Working Hour: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Working Day: Monday to Saturday

  • Holiday: Sunday and Gazette Holidays

  • Report To: Assistant Head of Finance, Group Finance & Account Director

  • Work Location: GBS Head Office, Hlaing Township, Yangon

Job Requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA) is an advantage

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of working experience in manufacturing or operational accounting

  • Familiarity with SQL-based accounting systems and SAP

  • Good understanding of IFRS/GAAP and local tax regulations

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
