Job Description

A Great Opportunity for ...

Manage and oversee the Bank's daily accounting operations to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger balances.
Monitor and maintain the Bank's accounting records and financial reporting systems.
Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), Central Bank of Myanmar (CBM) regulations, and internal accounting policies.
Coordinate with external auditors, internal auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies during audits and inspections.
Prepare and review tax filings and ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
Monitor cash flow, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accruals, and other balance sheet accounts.
Develop, review, and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Collaborate with other departments on financial and accounting matters.
Prepare reports required by Head Office, regulators, and senior management.

Job Requirements

Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in banking operations
Strong knowledge of accounting, taxation, IFRS, and banking regulations.
Ability to independently manage all related functions and responsibilities.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Good communication and report-writing skills in English
Preferred:
-Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Economic, Business Administration.
-Professional accounting qualifications (e.g., ACCA or CPA)
