As an Automation Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing the automated systems used in the distillery’s production processes. This includes control systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA), electrical components, and instrumentation critical to distillation, bottling, packaging, and storage. You will ensure that all automation systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on PLCs, sensors, HMIs, VFDs, and industrial control systems.
• Diagnose and repair faults in automated systems, including distillation columns, fermentation tanks, and bottling lines.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize machine performance and reduce downtime.
• Recommend and implement system improvements for increased reliability and efficiency.
• Assist in commissioning and integrating new equipment or process lines.
• Ensure all automation systems comply with electrical and safety regulations (NEC, OSHA).
• Follow LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) and other safety protocols during maintenance activities.

Educational & Experience Requirements

• Diploma or Associate Degree in Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in automation maintenance, preferably in food/beverage or process manufacturing.
• Key Skills and Competencies
• Experience in a distillery, brewery, or similar liquid processing facility.
• Knowledge of GMP ( Good Manufacturing Practices) and HACCP standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross- functional team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
