Job Description

A Fantastic Opportunity for ...

  • Reading through original material and rewriting it in the target language, ensuring that the meaning of the source text is retained;
  • Proofreading and editing final translated versions;
  • Providing internal MCB customers with a grammatically correct, well-expressed final version of the translated text, usually as a word-processed document;
  • Using appropriate software/systems to ensure consistency of translation within documents and use appropriate software for presentation and delivery of translations to help efficiency;
  • Using specialist dictionaries, thesauruses and reference books to find the closet equivalents for terminology and words used;
  • Researching legal and technical phraseology to find the correct translation;
  • Using the internet and email as research tools throughout the translation process;
  • Prioritizing work to meet deadlines;

Job Requirements

  • Any Graduate Degree (Prefer in English Degree)
  • Previous English translation would be a significant plus
  • Ability to perform under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work cordially and harmoniously with colleagues at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to operate in a confidential manner with discretion Enthusiasm, optimism and energy
