This position will be responsible for

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, in compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies.
  • Regulatory Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate regulatory reports, including monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual reports, and any other ad-hoc reports required by regulatory bodies.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry practices related to life insurance accounting. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies (FRD, IBRB, Taxation)
  • Accounting Operations: Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. Ensure proper documentation and adherence to internal controls.
  • Audit Support: Coordinate with internal and external auditors during financial audits and examinations. Prepare audit schedules, respond to inquiries, and address audit findings in a timely manner.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency. Implement best practices and automation tools to optimize workflow and reduce manual efforts.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure the team's professional development and performance excellence.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as actuarial, underwriting, operation, HR and admin, to gather relevant financial data and facilitate cross-functional projects and initiatives.
  • Reconciliation of daily/weekly premium collection
  • Assist budget preparation and BVA report preparation
  • Assist budget module implementation
  • Assist monthly, quarterly and year end closing
  • Support management reporting and other finance functions
  • Involve in internal and external statutory audit
  • Working closely with other departments/teams for finance related areas
  • Other tasks as assigned by the seniors

Job Requirements

  • Over 5 years of experience in the related field
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field is a must
  • Business English is mandatory
  • Additional certification (CPA or ACCA) is a plus.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven leadership abilities with a track record of team management and development.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
