Job Description

A Fantastic Opportunity for ...

Responsible for settlement and reconciliation of FX transaction and Cash Flow. Maintaining Trading Book and Reconciliation of both Banking and Trading Book. Daily and monthly valuation of FX related transactions. Responsible for maintaining General Ledger and necessary journal entries and reviewing monthly account reconciliation. Responsible for managing all finance controls and accounting processes, management of accurate and timely financial reports to Head of Finance/ CFO/Financial Controller. Responsible for reviewing and interpreting new CBM regulations which impact regulatory reporting.

  • Manage daily and monthly valuation of FX related transactions
  • Daily reconciliation on Nostro and inform related department if there is any discrepancy
  • Participate in the development of Treasury Management System
  • Participate financial modelling, business plan assessment and analysis on potential investment
  • Develop accounting and management policies & procedures.
  • Oversee and monitoring the accuracy of accounting entries in ensuring with Accounting Standards.
  • Other ad hoc duties as prescribed by the Senior Finance Team to assist in achieving Finance Department objectives.
  • Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and local regulators
  • Monitor cash balances and cash forecast for Funding
  • Produce high quality work output to required standards.
  • Work effectively to meet deadlines and organize workload and priorities
  • Produce consolidated budget and forecasts in line with timetable agreed with the Head of Finance.

Job Requirements

  • ACCA / CIMA or its equivalent
  • Highly proficient Microsoft Office user especially in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Substantial accounting experience in a busy, progressive and tightly managed medium sized business, including: monthly reporting, annual budget preparation, financial modelling, cash flow reporting and statutory accounts
  • High adaptability and influencing skills to manage change
  • Fluent in Burmese and English preferred
  • Ability to develop and improve report formats in line with business
  • Ability to deliver accurate, high quality work and reports to deadlines and to required standards
  • At least 7 years overall experience in leadership positions with 3 years’ experience in financial/management accounting environment
