Job Description

The Infrastructure Engineer independently manages enterprise network infrastructure and data center facilities across business units, ensuring reliable, secure and efficient operations. The role is responsible for troubleshooting, performance optimization, project implementation, security compliance and asset management, while coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders to meet business requirements and established service targets.

  • Operate and maintain SD-WAN environments, including branch connectivity, WAN policies, routing, link failover and application-aware traffic policies.
  • Maintain network availability through redundancy, failover, capacity monitoring, configuration management and preventive maintenance.
  • Configure, operate and optimize enterprise Wi-Fi environments, including SSIDs, VLAN mapping, authentication, RF parameters, wireless controllers and access points. Resolve coverage, interference, roaming, capacity and client connectivity issues.
  • Monitor and operate data center facilities, including UPS systems, power distribution, cooling and environmental conditions. Coordinate preventive maintenance and resolve facility-related issues with relevant vendors.
  • Plan and implement rack layouts, structured cabling, network connectivity, power requirements and equipment placement.
  • Perform security compliance reviews, patch coordination, access reviews and vulnerability remediation in accordance with IT Governance guidance and information security requirements.
  • Manage daily network and data center operations, resolve incidents and service requests, and perform preventive activities.
  • Monitor infrastructure health, manage alerts and dashboards, and analyze utilization and performance trends.
  • Investigate network and data center incidents using logs, monitoring data, packet analysis and configuration checks. Identify root causes, implement corrective actions and document findings to reduce recurring incidents.
  • Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, diagrams and knowledge articles, and provide technical guidance to team members.
  • Maintain accurate infrastructure asset records, including assignment, ownership, warranty and lifecycle information.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in IT infrastructure or network engineering roles.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with LAN, WAN, enterprise Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, routing, switching, VPNs, and network redundancy.
  • Experience managing data center facilities and operations, including UPS systems, power distribution, cooling, environmental monitoring, rack layouts, and structured cabling.
  • Experience with network device patching, configuration hardening, performance tuning, security compliance, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Experience with infrastructure monitoring, capacity planning, incident resolution, and root cause analysis, with a focus on meeting OLA and SLA targets.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Fortinet, Huawei, and Ruijie devices.
  • Knowledge of Huawei Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, and AWS Cloud are an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical and technical documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively across business units and cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure asset management, inventory reconciliation, warranty tracking, and lifecycle management.
