Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the procurement of goods and services following procurement policies, procedures and applicable government regulations
• Duties include planning, scheduling, initiating, monitoring and quality assurance of assigned procurement and contract activities
• Requires independent and professional judgment and is performed under the general direction of the procurement director/manager
• Manages the day to day operations of the procurement process
• Exhibits a strong sense of urgency to maintain high personal performance while making proposal and decisions in a cost-efficient manner
• Conducts the process for RFQ and negotiation including the best possible price, payment terms and delivery schedule and the evaluation of proposals, offers and bids are in accordance with user’s requirements while selecting the best supplier
• Manages and reviews documents for the procurement of all supplies, equipment and services

• ensuring compliance, the procurement policy and procedures manual as well as applicable government laws

• Assures suppliers deliver materials and services in accordance with standards of price, time, quantity and quality agreed upon
• Coordinate routinely with other departments to assure effective and timely coordination and teamwork in procuring goods and services
• Maintains positive vendor relations.
• Complying with safety and corporate guidelines on business ethics
• Supporting other initiatives/activities as directed by senior management

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or related area
• 3-5 years of procurement experience in manufacturing setting including ERP system
• Strong verbal and written skills for both English and Myanmar Language
• Advanced knowledge and skills with the internet, data entry, spreadsheets, and word processing, specifically with Microsoft Word and Excel and PowerPoint
• Demonstrates acceptable managerial competencies, including integrity, accountability, communication skills and commitment to teamwork
• Ability to work independently, be a self-starter, and energetically approach tasks assigned
• Ability to be accurate, responsive, follow-through, multi-tasking, and close attention to detail are essential
• Ability to be team-oriented as well as independently, results-driven, positive attitude and be active with the entire procurement process
• Comfortable and effective in interacting with all areas and levels of the organization to drive organizational goals and objectives
• Process strong customer service and support skills
• Prioritize and follow-up effectively both internally and externally
• Willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
