Technical

• Provide practical technical in-field and in-market leadership and training to Local Sales & Marketing Teams
• Develop a complete technical knowledge of all varieties in PLC ….. and later and be able to provide technical and variety specific technical data for sales staff.
• Develop on a continuous basis, a complete knowledge and understanding of competitor activity, sales, market potential, development market and trends.
• Develop relationships with growers’ co-operatives, consumer groups, R&D establishments and government agencies to maximise the visibility of the ASIC Brand.
• Develop and manage product profiles, define market segments across corn and vegetables.
• Together with the Product Evaluation Head, secure timely, intelligent trailing and product evaluation for new hybrids from PLC …and onward relevant for each market segment. Trials to be done in accordance with standard procedures. Take decisions and propose promotions of varieties based on the results.
• Responsible to plan and run the bi-annual PAM meetings and local crop meetings crop meetings as and when required.
• Oversee and direct variety life cycles and manage the assortment, including:

• Define gaps in the portfolio and source appropriate new varieties that match product profiles and segments.
• Expedite fast and reliable launch of new varieties.
• Manage the entry and exit of varieties from the assortment.
• Sourcing of new varieties in ensure a full pipeline.

• For new varieties introductions, follow up with seed supply to ensure trouble free supply of sample seed through to Introduction stage. For commercial varieties manage supplier demand forecasts.
• Control all actions towards minimum price establishment capture maximum value as required, registration, pack design and promotional material in conjunction with local sales teams

Marketing

The Product Manager will be a member of the local management team responsible to:

• Develop annual Crop Plans and strategic market development projects.
• Interpret market data to set priorities and objectives.
• Together with Sales and Marketing, develop appropriate G2M models and downstream activities for variety introduction
• Develop innovative marketing campaigns to maximize the market share capture and value creation, especially for new introductions.

Requirement

Critical Experience:

Min. 2 years of proven experiences in Product Management or in Marketing/Commercial function.

Critical Skills:

• Good knowledge of the vegetables seeds industry.
• Experience in the seed industry a distinct advantage.
