We are seeking a passionate, dynamic, and dedicated Science Teacher to join our OSSD (Ontario Secondary School Diploma) faculty team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and interactive science lessons (Biology, Chemistry, Physics depending on expertise), aligned with the Ontario Curriculum standards.

As a Science Teacher, you will create a stimulating learning environment that fosters academic excellence, critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills. You will also support students’ holistic development by guiding them through projects, lab activities, and inquiry-based learning approaches.

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver effective lessons according to the Ontario Secondary School Curriculum (OSSD).
  • Teach one or more areas of science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) based on expertise and program needs.
  • Develop lesson plans, assignments, laboratory activities, and assessments that encourage curiosity and scientific inquiry.
  • Utilize diverse teaching strategies and modern technology to engage students.
  • Monitor, assess, and record student progress, providing regular feedback.
  • Prepare students for OSSD assessments, evaluations, and examinations.
  • Support students’ individual learning needs and provide academic guidance.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, training, workshops, and school events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and administrators to maintain academic quality and school standards.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics). A teaching certification or postgraduate diploma in education is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Ontario Secondary School Curriculum and assessment standards.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and support students in achieving academic success.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Proficiency in using digital tools and online learning platforms is an advantage
