Job Purpose

The IT Hardware Manager is responsible for overseeing, controlling, and maintaining all IT hardware and related infrastructure at RGL’s Ywarthargyi and Myitnge locations. This includes laptops, desktop computers, scanners, printers, WiFi, fiber network, CCTV systems, and other IT equipment. The role ensures that all hardware is properly tracked, maintained, repaired, upgraded, and documented to support uninterrupted business operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and control all IT hardware assets across both Ywarthargyi and Myitnge sites.
• Maintain updated asset registers for laptops, computers, printers, scanners, CCTV, networking devices, and other IT equipment.
• Ensure proper asset tagging, assignment, movement tracking, and disposal control.
• Develop and maintain preventive maintenance and repair schedules for all IT hardware and infrastructure.
• Monitor hardware condition and coordinate timely repair, replacement, and servicing to minimize operational downtime.
• Maintain and implement system upgrade schedules for hardware and related infrastructure to ensure operational efficiency and reliability.
• Oversee and support the performance of WiFi, fiber connection, office network equipment, and CCTV systems.
• Supervise and manage the IT hardware support team across both locations, including task allocation, performance monitoring, and discipline.
• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for maintenance, repair, upgrades, and technical support.
• Ensure all IT hardware documents are properly maintained, including inventory lists, maintenance logs, repair records, warranty records, upgrade plans, and vendor documentation.
• Maintain strong document control and ensure all records are accurate, current, and properly filed.
• Conduct regular inspections and spot checks on IT hardware and infrastructure to ensure compliance with company procedures.
• Report major hardware issues, risks, and upgrade requirements to management in a timely manner.
• Ensure all IT hardware is safeguarded against misuse, loss, theft, or damage.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT hardware management, infrastructure support, or a similar role.
• Experience managing multi-site IT hardware operations is preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of computers, printers, scanners, WiFi, fiber networks, and CCTV systems.
