Safety officer must be responsible and a professional involved in preserving the safety and health of the workplace.  

Responsibility 

  • Work towards maintaining a secure environment, preventing accidents and cultivating a safety-conscious culture within the workforce. 
  • Conducting safety audits regularly. This involves inspecting the workplace to identify any situation or work processes that have potential to cause harm to employees and provide preventive recommendations. 
  • Conduct safety training for employees. Ensure they are well-informed about safety and emergency procedures and also correct usage of safety equipment. 
  • Involve in development and implementation of safety policies and procedures, ensuring employees are align with local regulations and global best safety practices in occupational safety and health. 
  • To identify potential hazards and evaluate risks is crucial in this role and also anticipate assess and minimize safety risk to prevent workplace accidents.
