Job Purpose

The Site Engineer is responsible for supervising and coordinating construction activities on site to ensure that works are completed safely, accurately, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction activities and ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and site supervisors.
• Review construction drawings, shop drawings, method statements, and technical documents.
• Monitor site progress and report the status of construction activities to the Senior Site Engineer or Project Manager.
• Conduct regular site inspections to check workmanship, dimensions, levels, and installation quality.
• Ensure that construction works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Identify site issues, discrepancies, and potential clashes and coordinate with the relevant parties for resolution.
• Prepare and respond to RFIs and technical queries as required.
• Coordinate material deliveries and ensure that approved materials are used on site.
• Monitor manpower, equipment, and material requirements for assigned works.
• Coordinate inspection and testing activities with consultants and relevant project teams.
• Follow up on defects, site observations, NCRs, and corrective actions.
• Take site measurements and verify completed works.
• Prepare daily and weekly site reports and maintain accurate records of construction activities.
• Attend site coordination and progress meetings and follow up on assigned actions.
• Coordinate with the Safety team to ensure that site activities comply with safety requirements.
• Assist in monitoring subcontractor performance and work progress.
• Ensure that the latest approved drawings and documents are available and used on site.
• Assist with snagging, testing, commissioning, handover, and project close-out activities.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Senior Site Engineer, Construction Manager, or Project Manager.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant site/construction experience is preferred.
• Experience in building construction or related projects.
• Good understanding of construction methods, materials, drawings, and specifications.
• Experience coordinating with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and project teams.
