To manage and maintain all database and ensure security and back-up
Monitor Mount Point size, tablespace with data file utilization, growth size of database, buffer hit ratio, data dictionary hit ratio, library dictionary hit ratio, backup(RMAN), backup(logical), alert log
Manage and administer all applications & Telcom management systems
Find invalid/valid object, index and blocking section
Perform defragmentation/ Refreshing (cloning) of database
Process lock management
Upload and manage Apollo’s database on cloud in accordance with disaster management plan
Backup full database with oracle before applying patch for security purpose in order to avoid down time
Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures
Validate back up, archive log(RMAN backup) and manage archive area, dump area size
Perform general technical troubleshooting and give cons
Troubleshoot transport table of data(table level, schema level) when required
Install, configure and upgrade database server software and related products
Evaluate database features and database related products and develop an improvement plan
Keep Database up to date, help with Database design & development and manage database access.
Manage third party vendors for implementation of new applications
Define objectives through consultation with staff at all levels, test and modify databases to ensure that they operate reliably
Provide user training, support and feedback
Implement and maintain database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges)

A bachelor’s degree in computer science
MCSA (Microsoft Certification Solutions Associate)
Professional certification in Oracle MySQL Database
Professional certification in Linux, Unix and Windows server
3-5 years’ work experience in database administration
Preferably work experience in telecom sector
Having a knowledge of database theory, design, RBDMS itself and SQL
Understanding of distributed computing architectures, underlying operating system. Understanding of routine maintenance, recovery, and handling failover of a database
