Your Mission

Proximity Finance's mission is to invest in the growth of each of our employees with the same degree of quality, design and care that our rural customers experience. To do so, we design and offer blended learning and development programs that help employees build up the right set of values, core competencies and technical skills at every stage of their career. As Learning & Development Specialist you are responsible for financial and product related training from beginning to end, including needs analysis, cirriculum development, implementation, monitoring and reporting. You are accountable for Proximity Finance staff located in the upland and dry regions, and will act as a single point of contact for learning & development matters. You will ensure cost-effective training arrangements and that staff are adequately equipped with the necessary skills to operate at a high standard.

What will You Do

- Design, deliver and evaluate training sessions within the Proximity Finance’s learning & development framework.
- Own all technical training and initiatives, ensuring mandatory training is coordinated and completed for upland and dry region staff.
- Explore and implement digital training modules or oversee digitization of in-person training
- Source, secure and negotiate training facilities or vendors/external trainers, if external support is needed.
- Organize and conduct train-the-trainer sessions for in-house experts/trainers.
- Frequently visit branch offices and monitor progress, particularly checking-in with new Loan Officers.
- Maintain a database of curriculum, materials and personnel training records.
- Prepare an annual evaluation of the impact training has had on employee skills and behavior, and how this supports Proximity Finance reaching its targets.

- Bachelor degree holder with a minimum of 4 years of significant work experience as a trainer, coach or training facilitator (Preferably with experience maintaining a
database of curriculum, materials and personnel training records, and someone from the fin-tech or financial industries)
- Knowledge and successful implementation of instructional design theory
- Knowledge of credit processes and policies in financial or micro finance institutions
- Awareness of the latest training technologies, trends, participatory training and adult education approaches
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal English and Burmese)
- Exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to handle multiple assignments and prioritize work
