Purpose of the Role

• To develop complex SQL scripts from multiple sources to build data pipeline for report automation.
• The SQL report developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SQL queries and reports to support business needs.
• This role involves working closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, gathering data from various sources, and transforming it into meaningful insights through reports and dashboards.

Role Accountabilities 

• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather report requirements.
• Design and develop SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from databases.
• Deep understanding of how data are keeping in the BI system and provide assign tasks on time.
• Optimize SQL queries and database performance to ensure efficient data retrieval.
• Develop and maintain data models and schemas to support reporting needs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data, queries, or reports.

1. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in SQL development and reporting.

Minimum Experience & Essential Knowledge

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science.
• Proven experience (Minimum 4 year) as a SQL developer or report developer.
• Proficiency in SQL programming and database management systems (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Must be able to handle over 500+ line of SQL codes and optimize as per business requirements.
• Must be able to work under high pressure, develop complex SQL scripts and deliver in short timeline.
• Experience with reporting tools such as SSRS, Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools is a plus.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and dimensional modelling is a plus.
