1.Oversees the daily operations of a university unit and its various components, ensuring compliance with university’s regulations.
2.Oversees the supervision of personnel, which includes work allocation, training, promotion, enforcement of internal procedures and controls, and problem resolution.
3.Evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions; motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
4.Represents the organization at various community and/or business meetings, committees, and task forces; promotes existing and new programs and/or policies.
5.Oversees the supervision of one or more specified operating and/or service activities within the unit, as appropriate
6. Evaluate business processes and operational and/or financial effectiveness.
7.Analyze unit needs and make recommendations to leadership for changes in staffing, facilities, health and safety compliance, finance, technology and/or administrative functions. Work with the Chair and/or Dean’s Office regarding resources to support faculty activities and interests.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience in administrative and management. Mangement diploma or M.B.A is preferred.
Age 30 - 45

•Demonstrated supervisory skills including conflict resolution.
•Excellent planning and organizational skills.
•Excellent communication skills
•Strong negotiation and effective interpersonal skills.
•Solid analytical and problem solving skills.
