Job Description

A Great Opportunity for ...

  • To manage and monitor attendance registers in coordination with the systems manager, tutors and teachers.

  • To report where registers are missing, inaccurate or not completed by tutors and teachers in coordination with the systems manager.

  • To update attendance information with information received regarding lateness and absence to ensure that an accurate record of attendance is maintained at all times.

  • To ensure that accurate attendance records are available for tutors in the event of an emergency.

  • To follow up where students are absent from school and no reason has been given.

  • To report where there is continued absence or lateness by students in order that this can be investigated further.

  • To liaise with the systems manager to ensure that report templates are ready for teacher input at the beginning of each reporting cycle.

  • To assist the heads of section and systems manager where comments or data has not been added by teachers following the agreed deadline.

  • To support the distribution of  of reports, including the printing and collating of reports where necessary

  • To support the process of ensuring that reports are distributed to all parents in a timely manner.

  • To support the production and distribution of resources as required by teachers.

  • To coordinate with the systems manager in ensuring that the system for making appointments is prepared and ready for use.

  • To manage special requirements and arrange appointments for parents where necessary.

  • To ensure that a parent attendance register is kept and support the process of following up where parents have not attended.

  • To support the preparation and management of the event.

  • To manage the organisation of translators where necessary

  • To accurately translate verbally in staff/parent meetings if required.

  • To accurately translate correspondence too and from parents as required.

  • To write minutes of parent/staff meetings where required. 

  • To phone parents and act as a liaison between parents and staff where a language barrier exists.

  • To arrange staff/parent meetings as required.

  • To support the administration of the House System as required.

  • To input data on spreadsheets and on the school management system.

  • To maintain accurate databases and arrange for changes to be made where necessary

  • To support the analysis of data where required.

  • To ensure that data is available for staff and parents when required. 

  • To support the planning and management for the admission of new students.

  • To manage all data according to the data protection policy and procedures. 

  • To support and attend special events relating to the whole school or section.

  • To play a full part in the life of the school community, to support its distinctive mission, ethos and vision, and to encourage staff and students to follow this example.

  • To promote actively in the school’s policies.

  • To continue professional development in line with performance management targets.

  • To comply with the school’s safeguarding policies and procedures.
