Job Purpose

Candidate will work within a team to support the overall responsibility for preparation and distribution of financial statements to management and external parties in compliance with company policies and IFRS / MFRS. Manager, Statutory Reporting will be expected to assist in local statutory accounting guidelines and ensure internal/ external audits are completed in a timely manner. There is also a need to support any ad-hoc duties. A strong understanding of financial accounting is a must, together with working experience in accounting / GL systems such as Oracle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform daily / weekly / monthly inventory reconciliations between physical stock and system data
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve inventory discrepancies such as shortages, excess, damages, or wrong postings.
  • Coordinate with Internal stakeholders to resolve variances.
  • Conduct and support cycle counts and physical stock audits.
  • Ensure accurate posting of GRN, issues, transfers, adjustments, and returns.
  • Maintain proper documentation and reconciliation reports.
  • Investigate root causes of inventory mismatches and recommend process improvements.
  • Review and monitor general journal, bank bill payables, bank reconciliation and supporting schedule for balance sheet item on monthly basis.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly GL closing, variance analysis/ reporting within the strictly established deadlines.
  • Provide support during internal and external audit & the annual year-end financial audit activities.
  • Collaborates with the other finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives.
  • Fully responsible for recognizing and defining problems in the report data; maintains and reconciles varied account data.

  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly GL closing, variance analysis/ reporting within the strictly established deadlines. Responsible for all activities relating to accounting for GL.
  • Liaising with auditors (internal, external, ICFR) and satisfactorily answering queries raised by them within prescribed target dates.
  • Participate in departmental special projects and perform assigned duties with the coordinator/ stakeholders.
  • Lead ad hoc reporting, projects and analysis as required by stakeholders

Job Requirements

Education

  • ACCA Part II or a bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field. Qualified chartered accountant/ CPA
  • CPA/ CA/ ACCA Qualified

Experience

  • Over +5 years accounting, financial reporting and business analysis experience – preferable in dynamic and high growth businesses

Key Skillsets

  • Confidence and ability to propose and defend opinions and perspectives to influence and achieve financial objectives
  • Strong financial analysis with an analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software (Oracle Fusion) and databases. 
  • Be an analytical thinker with strong investigative and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to work within a team and cross functionally. 
  • Good communication skills. 
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. 
  • Language requirement: Myanmar, English. 
  • Self-initiative with positive mindset with commitment.
  • Ability to work in challenging and dynamic environment.
