Job Overview

The main responsibility of an Analyst is to monitor security information and report incidents in a timely and comprehensive manner.

Responsibilities & Authorities

Information capture and data gathering

Monitor English-language and Myanmar-language news outlets and other information sources on a daily basis to collect information about the security situation in Myanmar.
Report incidents in accordance with internal standard operating procedure in a timely manner
Provide ad hoc support (e.g., desktop research) to Research & AnalyticTeam

Job Requirements

Qualification and Requirements

Preferably minimum Bachelor degree in political sciences, international relations, conflict studies and media studies
Preferably working experience in related fields which is Research & Analysis
Must be excellent in written and verbal English and Burmese
Strong knowledge of editing software (e.g. Adobe Illustrator)
Strong knowledge of media sector, security issues and geopolitical dynamics in Myanmar
Structured thought/ Neutral / Objective
Ability to process and analyze diverse datasets
Solid computer skills: collaborative work tools, Excel, Word
Good command of Geographical Information System or similar will be a plus
