The position is responsible to champion the design and implementation of quality assurance program over Manulife’s Global Operational Risk Management program and its underlying components. The position requires leadership and outside-the-box thinking skills, technical subject matter expertise in operational risk, and solid communication and influencing skills. This position will work with process owners, functions, and geographies, to promote consistency in applying ORM policies and standards.

The position is responsible to champion the design and implementation of quality assurance program over Manulife’s Global Operational Risk Management program and its underlying components. The position requires leadership and outside-the-box thinking skills, technical subject matter expertise in operational risk, and solid communication and influencing skills. This position will work with process owners, functions, and geographies, to promote consistency in applying ORM policies and standards.

Support the process owner in enhancing and maintaining effective governance and oversight over operation policies and standards. Liase with various businesses and risk partners in coming up with best practices, potential enhancements, or tools to support the business units in complying with the policies and standards.

  • Documenting, communicating, and reporting of information received, actions taken, outcomes
  • Monthly document quality assurance activities and to ensure timely submission to COO and regional team
  • Propose recommendations for improvement and report on operational risk finding
  • Follow up progress of any previous internal / external audit finding
  • Find out and analyze current / future risk areas
  • Review current process and guidelines
  • Contribute to overall Operational Risk Management training, communication and reporting efforts as required.
  • To carry out any other duties for operation Line1B may be assigned to you from time to time by the COO
