Asst. Manager, IP RAN/Fiber Operation Engineer

Principal Accountabilities:

• Ensure smooth operation, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance activities of IP RAN such as MW and DWDM.
• Manage day-to-day operational performance, workload, and efficiency of vendors.
• Ensure any new network elements that are to be commissioned into the network are operationally accepted and ensure smooth handover of newly added nodes to MS partner from project teams. Participates with respective key stakeholders in crisis management activities related to risk assessment, emergency/incident response and business continuity related activities.
• Provide assurance and solution roadmaps for vulnerability assessment to reduce security risk in IP RAN domain.
• Act as primary technical SPOC from IP RAN and Fiber operation.
• 3PP management for fiber related issues such as following up on fiber incidents, work together with MS partner to strengthen Fiber 3PP management.
• Ensure all fiber related corrective actions are properly taken with relevant 3PP stakeholders.
• Access Management of fiber teams to respective DC/RC & sites.
• Prepare reports for monthly/quarterly/yearly SLA calculation of fiber teams and IP RAN related KPI/SLA.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT / Telecom / Electronics /Network Engineering.
• 5 years plus Experience in the telecommunications industry.
• Understanding and must be familiar with nationwide network topology very well.
• Analysis skill and has to work 24/7 if there is network incident.
• Able to grasp new skills and procedures quickly with minimal direction.
• Energetic, flexible, result-oriented and commitment with ‘Can Do' attitude.
• Good communication skill & Vendor Management experience preferred.
• Excellent Communication Skills with proficiency in English language.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
