Job Description

A Fantastic Opportunity for ...

  • Develop monthly and yearly audit trip plans and align with the CEO on any updates or necessary changes.
  • Conduct ground inventory checks by location; report any variances compared to finance records and verify that the respective PIC has taken corrective action.
  • Inform the AR PIC of audit findings (e.g., variances, disputes, and other issues) and ensure necessary follow-up actions are taken.
  • Collect necessary audit data such as debtor statements, inventory reports, fixed asset lists, etc., for regular auditing purposes.
  • Conduct field visits to dealers (by division) to reconcile receivable balances against dealer records, including sales, cash in, discounts, and outstanding balances.
  • Prepare comprehensive audit reports and submit findings to management for review.
  • Perform monthly counting and reporting of cash balances and monitor diesel and petrol consumption.
  • Ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are implemented and followed across relevant functions.
  • Verify fixed assets and support external auditors in schedules preparation, documents checking, and audit requirements.
  • Identify and evaluate risks, handle operational risk events, identify root causes of control failures, and develop actionable remediation plans.
  • Review and assess the annual risk management plan.
  • Supervise and lead the internal audit team to uphold professional standards and ensure the successful execution of internal projects.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B. Com), preferably with CPA qualification.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in Audit and Risk Management, preferably within the microfinance or agriculture industry.
  • Proven ability to supervise and manage an audit team to deliver on internal projects effectively.
  • Excellent skills in mathematics, analytics, communication (both written and oral), time management, decision-making, and leadership.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with accounting software and statistical analysis tools is highly desirable.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently to divisions as required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proficiency in English 4 skills.
