  • Develop and implement a comprehensive and challenging chemistry curriculum that is aligned with the school's academic standards and objectives.
  • Create engaging lesson plans that incorporate a variety of teaching strategies and resources, such as laboratory experiments, multimedia presentations, and group activities.
  • Assess student learning and provide regular feedback on their progress, using a variety of assessment methods, such as tests, quizzes, and lab reports.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary units and projects that integrate chemistry with other subjects and promote critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
  • Use technology effectively to enhance instruction and support student learning, such as online resources, interactive whiteboards, and simulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, grades, and performance, and communicate regularly with parents and administrators.
  • Participate in school-wide activities, such as parent-teacher conferences, faculty meetings, and professional development workshops.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized laboratory environment that is conducive to learning and experimentation.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Teaching certification or license in Chemistry or Science Education
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of teaching experience in secondary school or higher education setting
  • Familiarity with international education standards and curriculum frameworks, such as the IB, IGCSE, or AP programs
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a diverse and multicultural environment
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools to enhance instruction and assessment
