Develop and implement a comprehensive and challenging chemistry curriculum that is aligned with the school's academic standards and objectives.
Create engaging lesson plans that incorporate a variety of teaching strategies and resources, such as laboratory experiments, multimedia presentations, and group activities.
Assess student learning and provide regular feedback on their progress, using a variety of assessment methods, such as tests, quizzes, and lab reports.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary units and projects that integrate chemistry with other subjects and promote critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
Use technology effectively to enhance instruction and support student learning, such as online resources, interactive whiteboards, and simulations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, grades, and performance, and communicate regularly with parents and administrators.
Participate in school-wide activities, such as parent-teacher conferences, faculty meetings, and professional development workshops.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized laboratory environment that is conducive to learning and experimentation.
Uphold the school's code of conduct and enforce classroom rules and procedures that promote respect, responsibility, and academic integrity.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
Teaching certification or license in Chemistry or Science Education
Minimum of 3-5 years of teaching experience in secondary school or higher education setting
Familiarity with international education standards and curriculum frameworks, such as the IB, IGCSE, or AP programs
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a diverse and multicultural environment
Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools to enhance instruction and assessment
