Position Overview

The Preschool Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering high-quality early childhood education, creating a safe and nurturing learning environment, and supporting the developmental needs of young children. The role requires patience, creativity, and a strong passion for teaching early learners.
 

Key Responsibilities

1. Teaching & Learning

  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with the school’s early childhood curriculum.

  • Use creative teaching methods (songs, play-based activities, storytelling, art, etc.).

  • Prepare learning materials, teaching aids, and classroom resources.

  • Support early literacy, numeracy, motor skills, and social development.

2. Classroom Management

  • Maintain a safe, caring, and child-friendly classroom environment.

  • Manage children’s behavior with positive reinforcement and guidance.

  • Ensure children’s safety and supervise them at all times.

  • Keep the classroom clean, organized, and conducive to learning.

3. Child Development & Assessment

  • Observe children’s daily progress and document developmental milestones.

  • Identify learning needs and provide additional support when required.

  • Prepare student assessment reports and share progress with parents.

4. Communication & Collaboration

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with parents/guardians.

  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants and other Preschool teachers.

  • Participate in meetings, training workshops, and school events.

  • Maintain good relationships with staff, students, and parents.

5. Administrative Responsibilities

  • Prepare weekly lesson plans and monthly reports.

  • Maintain attendance records and student files.

  • Follow school policies, safeguarding guidelines, and operational procedures.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Education/Early Childhood Education preferred).

  • Experience in Preschool or Early Childhood teaching (advantage).

  • Strong passion for teaching young children.

  • Patience, empathy, and ability to manage young learners effectively.

  • Able to communicate in English.

  • Good teamwork and professional attitude.
