Job Function

To support the Head of Finance by leading the finance team, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, compliance, and smooth operations. The role focuses on overseeing team activities, handling key tasks such as financial analysis, audits, and strategic reporting, while delegating routine work under close supervision.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise the accounting team to ensure smooth daily operations across all accounting and finance functions, including GL, AP, AR, intercompany reconciliations, Revenue, COGS, OPEX, and Fixed Assets, while ensuring departmental efficiency and compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Assign tasks to team members, monitor their progress, and review outputs to maintain accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.
  • Oversee preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports; review and finalize before submission to senior management or group reporting. Provide detailed financial analysis, variance reports, and business insights to support strategic decisions.
  • Prepare consolidation and group financial reporting for all entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, compliance with accounting standards, and alignment with management and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise preparation of tax-related schedules, ensure compliance with local tax regulations, handle complex tax matters in coordination with external consultants, and ensure timely and accurate submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings.
  • Maintain strong internal controls across finance processes and lead the development of accounting policies, SOPs, and process improvements to ensure compliance, efficiency, and standardized operations.
  • Oversee team activities related to cash flow monitoring, working capital, and liquidity management; review reports, highlight issues, and advise the Head of Finance.
  • Handle ad-hoc financial analysis, strategic initiatives, and special projects as assigned by the Head of Finance and manage critical finance issues.
  • Responsibility for developing, monitoring, and reviewing budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, including expenditure control and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure timely completion of audits, implementation of recommendations, and maintenance of proper supporting documentation.
  • Supervise, mentor, and train accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth through coaching, clear objectives, and regular feedback.
  • Develop and update accounting and finance policies and processes, and monitor ongoing changes in tax regulations and accounting standards to ensure compliance and enhance efficiency across the organization.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (CPA/ACCA) are a plus.
  • Minimum 10 years of accounting experience, including at least 4 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and local tax regulations.
  • Experience in financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, and compliance.

Experience:

  • Managing day-to-day accounting operations.
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Handling audits, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience with intercompany transactions, group reporting, or multi-entity consolidation is a plus.
