Job Description

A Fantastic Opportunity for ...

  • Budget & Financial Planning: Lead annual budgeting, cash flow projections, budget reviews, and budget execution monitoring.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee AP/AR operations, invoice processing, collections, credit monitoring, and intercompany billing.
  • Cash Flow & Working Capital: Manage cash flow planning, working capital, loan repayments, bank reconciliations, and financial forecasts.
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate GL postings, monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports, management accounts, variance analysis, and KPI reporting.
  • Financial Controls & Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, internal controls, and statutory requirements.
  • Asset & Inventory Management: Maintain accurate asset registers and oversee periodic cash, inventory, and asset reviews across branches.
  • Payroll Management: Oversee monthly payroll preparation, approval, bank processing, and coordination with HR.
  • Year-End Closing & Audit: Lead year-end closing, statutory financial reporting, government submissions, and coordination with internal/external auditors.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team while ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial operations.
  • Financial Systems & Process Improvement: Review and improve accounting systems, software, processes, and reporting efficiency.
  • Management Support: Provide financial analysis, recommendations, and insights to the Finance Manager, CFO, CEO, Board, and Business Unit Managers.

Job Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional qualification such as LCCI, ACCA, CPA is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting/finance experience, preferably in FMCG, distribution, retail, or trading companies.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow, AP/AR, GL, and financial controls.
  • Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, audit coordination, statutory reporting, and bank reconciliation.
  • Proven experience managing and developing a finance team of 8 or more.
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and accounting/ERP software.
  • High attention to accuracy, detail, confidentiality, and integrity.
  • Experience handling multiple business units, branches, or subsidiary companies is an added advantage.
