We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Geologist Officer to lead our geological department and support the successful exploration, evaluation, and development of our mining operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all geological exploration, resource definition, and mine geology activities.
• Develop and implement exploration strategies to identify and expand mineral resources and reserves.
• Manage geological mapping, drilling, sampling, logging, core handling, and interpretation of geological data.
• Supervise geological modeling, grade control, resource estimation, and reserve reporting.
• Ensure compliance with internationally recognized reporting standards (applicable local standards).
• Provide technical guidance to mine planning, engineering, and production teams to optimize ore extraction.
• Establish and maintain Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures for exploration and production sampling.
• Prepare technical reports, exploration updates, feasibility study inputs, and presentations for senior management.
• Manage geological databases, software, and reporting systems.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the geology team while promoting a strong health, safety, and environmental culture.
• Manage departmental budgets, exploration programs, and external geological consultants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Applied Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred).
• Minimum of 20 years of progressive experience in mineral exploration or mining geology, including 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Strong experience in open-pit and/or underground mining operations.
• Proven experience in mineral resource estimation, grade control, and geological modeling.
• Proficiency with mining and geological software
• Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills.
• Professional Geologist registration or equivalent certification is an advantage.

Preferred Experience

• Gold, iron, tin, wolframite, copper, nickel, limestone, coal, or other hard-rock mining projects.
• Resource estimation and reserve reporting.
• Exploration program design and drilling supervision.
• Feasibility studies and mine development projects.
• Environmental and mining regulatory compliance.
