Job Description

A Good Opportunity for ..

1. Professional Conduct & Communication

  • Maintain trust with BFI and its administration
  • Be positive, friendly, and supportive
  • Show love and respect to all students, treating them equally
  • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with students, parents, other teachers, and administration
  • Proactively facilitate communication between home and school (e.g., meetings, calls, letters, home visits)
  • Inform the administrators about teacher and students’ issues
  • Solve pupil’s problems professionally to reach the satisfaction level of companies
  • Report any accidents or noteworthy incidents to administrators promptly
  • Phone call absent students
  • Visit seriously sick students
  • Other duties concerned with school as assigned by administrators

2. Teaching, Planning & Curriculum

  • Develop detailed term, weekly, and daily lesson plans aligned with the school curriculum and guidelines collaborate with colleagues to create shared plans
  • Plan for special activities (e.g., physical education, computing, sand and water)
  • Develop field trip plans aligned with curriculum topics; conduct site surveys
  • Prepare lessons plans 2 weeks in advance and related activities 1 week ahead
  • Submit curriculum list and toy list
  • Implement diverse teaching methods tailored to student needs, interests, and learning styles
  • Provide equal opportunities for learning
  • Promote engagement through singing, dancing, and interactive learning activities
  • Plan and implement extra lessons to address student needs

3. Classroom & Student Environment

  • Maintain a vibrant, well-maintained, tidy, and clean classroom environment
  • Actively engage with and support students throughout the day (e.g., snack/lunch/playtime)
  • Regularly observe and evaluate student performance, behavior, social and physical development
  • Observe for emotional, developmental, or health-related issues and seek expert support
  • Arrange extra meetings with parents for special cases

4. Assessment, Documentation & Reporting

  • Complete and submit required forms (report cards, checklists, height/weight records, incident reports, permission forms)
  • Prepare monthly student observation reports
  • Write monthly observations for each student
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, absences, and issues
  • Grading and correcting pupils’ work accurately
  • Fill out incident forms

5. Teacher & Staff Management

  • Manage, train, and assign duties to assistant teachers
  • Hold class meetings with assistant teachers weekly
  • Observe assistant teachers and pupils to assess strengths and weaknesses

6. School Engagement & Events

  • Participate in all school activities and programs
  • Attend rehearsals for special activities
  • Attend and contribute to team meetings (teachers, assistants, others as required)
  • Participate in professional development opportunities (e.g., workshops, seminars, webinars)
  • Take on the role of presenter during workshop presentations
  • Attend workshops/seminars in and outside of school

7. Logistics & Resource Management

  • Check toy lists twice monthly

Make a list of material ordering and submit it to the office weekly

Job Requirements

Educational Background

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (minimum requirement)
  • Certificate/Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECE) (preferred)

 Professional Training & Certification

  • Child Care Training or relevant workshops
  • First Aid & CPR Certification

Knowledge & Skills

  • Understanding of toddler developmental milestones (physical, cognitive, emotional, social)
  • Classroom management strategies suitable for young children
  • Strong communication skills with both children and parents
  • Good English-speaking skills with clear pronunciation
  • Patience, kind, empathy, creativity and attentive to children’s needs
  • Ability to plan and implement engaging, safe, and age-appropriate activities

Experience

  • Practical experience in early childhood settings (internships, volunteering, or prior work)
