Key Responsibilities

  • Manage import licenses, permits, certificates and government approvals.
  • Handle customs documentation and ensure accurate import clearance processes.
  • Ensure compliance with customs laws, import regulations, duties and taxes.
  • Coordinate with government authorities, customs brokers, shipping lines and logistics providers.
  • Monitor shipment clearance, container release and container return deadlines.
  • Control detention/demurrage costs and resolve container-related operational issues.
  • Maintain accurate customs and shipment records and prepare regular reports.
  • Support internal and external audits related to customs and import activities.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration, Customs Administration, or a related field.
  • Good knowledge of customs clearance, import procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail with good documentation and record-keeping skills.
  • Good communication, coordination, and negotiation skills with government authorities, shipping lines, customs brokers, and logistics providers.
  • Strong problem-solving and follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines.
  • Proactive, responsible, and able to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Good English communication skills
