The Electrical Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of all electrical systems and equipment within the distillery. This includes preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of electrical components related to production, packaging, utilities, and safety systems. 

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance on electrical panels, motors, drives, lighting systems, and control equipment.
• Inspect and service electrical components to prevent breakdowns and ensure safety compliance.
• Diagnose and repair faults in machinery such as pumps, mixers, conveyors, and bottling lines
• Assist in the installation of new machinery and electrical infrastructure.
• Modify existing systems to improve performance and efficiency or meet changing production demands.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with local and national electrical codes.
• Support factory safety procedures including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and hazard identification.

Diploma/Certificate in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Electrical Maintenance

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing and industrial field.

Key Skills and Competencies

• Strong knowledge of:
• VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives)
• Motors, contactors, relays, and sensors
• Power distribution systems and MCC panels
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and food/beverage industry standards is a plus.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office, CMMS software).
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
