Job Description

Develop and maintain sound financial policies and procedures in conformity with company’s standards
Work with and enforce all internal departments to comply with accounting processes & procedures
Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities and government board
Analyze and recommend improvements in efficiency of various aspects of company operations internal and external benchmarks (ERP system, Online Banking Process and SOP etc)
Proactive with IFRS & local statutory requirement updates and initiate the necessary implementation to ensure the reporting are as per the requirement
Prepare, analyze, comment and deliver credible month end reports according to IFRS standards
Review/ reconcile and sign off on the monthly Interco transactions/ Debit notes settlement/ Right of Use Assets Transfer
Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting quarterly/yearly (MIC, PTD, Taxation)
Monitor and report progress within Cash Expenditure budget
Ensure all financial transactions are properly record, filed and reported
Support month-end and year-end close process to the finance team with proper guidance
Ensure assets of the company are properly safeguarded against misuse or loss thru regular monitoring, upkeep of maintenance & securing sufficient insurance coverage of tangible assets
Oversee tax compliance and work with external consultants/advisor to ensure effective tax management
Supervise, manage and develop the accounting department staff

Job Requirements

CPA / ACCA is a must
Bachelor Degree Holder
Minimum 7 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience in managerial position.
Experience in developing and implementing procedures and processes
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
Experience in using professional accounting software (SAGE, ERP etc)
Experience working in 200+ employees size company
