ROLE PURPOSE

As a Card and Payment Product Owner, you will be responsible for driving the development and execution of innovative card and payment solutions within bank. Your primary focus will be on creating and delivering customer-centric products and services that enhance the overall payment experience for users. And need to lead the product development process, align with business goals, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and adhere to industry regulations.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute a strategic vision for the fintech card and payment product portfolio.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify user needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Define and prioritize product features and enhancements based on customer feedback, business goals, and regulatory requirements.
  • Create and maintain a product roadmap that aligns with the overall business strategy.
  • Collaborate with product implementation teams to define product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and develop BRD, review FSD, SI, SD, TSD documents which cover all product requirements.
  • Seek necessary committee's approvals such as Delivery Committee, Product and Pricing Committee, Executive Credit Committee, etc.
  • Identify technical, operational and risk matters and make recommendations or provide solutions to address matters.  Escalate to a higher level if necessary.
  • Ensure technical and operational risks are assessed and follow through with action plan with proper approval.
  • Work closely with UX/UI designers to ensure intuitive and user-friendly product experiences.
  • Conduct user testing and gather feedback to iterate and improve product features.
  • Leading on each new products or enhancements deployment with technical teams and product implementation teams.
  • Manage the product development lifecycle, including prioritizing tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as compliance, legal, and risk management teams, to ensure product compliance with relevant regulations and security standards.
  • Engage with external partners, such as payment processors, card networks to integrate and optimize product functionalities.
  • Dealing with solution vendors, based on the input of all stakeholders needs and develops unique propositions.
  • Coordinate with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies, product positioning, and messaging.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and monitor metrics regularly.
  • Ensure a profitable product portfolio and execute remedial action to address cost management.
  • Analyze user data, market trends, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for product improvement and optimization.
  • Make data-driven decisions to enhance product features, drive user engagement, and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the fintech card and payment product offerings, both internally and externally.
  • Provide training and support to internal teams, including customer support, sales, and operations, to ensure a deep understanding of the product and its features.
  • Collaborate with customer support teams to address and resolve product-related issues and inquiries.

Education & Special Training

Essential

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Computer Science, Finance)

Desirable

Any certificate of Product Management, Fintech Products

 

Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience more than 5 years as a Product Owner or similar role within cards or payments industry.3-5 years of experience in project delivery using agile methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience in using project management tools including:
    • Jira 
    • Confluence

Desirable 

  • Experience on Product Management end to end including development, technical, business, operation, support

Knowledge & Skills

Essential

  • Strong knowledge of card and payment technologies, industry trends, and regulatory landscape
  • In-depth knowledge of card payment systems, including card networks (MPU, Visa, Mastercard, etc.), card processing, authorization, settlement, and transaction lifecycle for all card types (Debit, Credit, Prepaid)
  • Proficiency in managing the product development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, user story definition, agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Data-driven mindset with proficiency in using analytics tools to derive insights and inform product decisions.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills
  • Self-motivation and ability to stay focused in the middle of distraction.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
